Lancky Dogs were very proud to take part in the Great British Greyhound Walk on 24th June 2012.
The weather was not as kind this year as last but our spirits and excitement were just as great. The Mayor of Fylde gave an opening speech before cutting the ribbon held by Councillor Gail Goodman.
As you can see, Bouncer's old racing instincts kicked in as he waited impatiently at the tape, keen to get going.
And with the cutting of the ribbon the rest of us all poured through and headed for the beach.
After a short time we arrived at the beach and headed round the pier and back towards the sand dunes, following a similar route to last year. On this occasion, we took time out for a group photograph by the statue of Les Dawson before returning back to our starting point and a chance to give our hounds a well earned drink and treats.
This year every hound received a medal which you can see being proudly worn by Ted. And yes, we will be back next year.
